Rue Sakayama 2
by Gator Ball Photo SeriesCelebrating the intersection of art and sport, Huyck House and Literally Balling produced a photographic series inviting select artists to reinterpret a single object through their own lens. The subject is the Gator Ball - a regulation-size basketball designed by Victor Solomon, distinguished by its white synthetic gator skin panels. Each photographer was given complete freedom to capture the object within their own visual language.
This framed limited edition print features work by Rue Sakayama. Rue is a photographer and artist based in Providence, RI. Raised in New York City by two creative parents, Rue developed a love for the craft of photography from a young age. Over the past 15 years, Rue has created a diverse body of work spanning a wide range of professional photographic genres alongside personal and fine art projects.
